Initially incubated as an idea by the Giving Institute, a cross-sector Working Committee prepared the Generosity Commission for launch by raising seed capital, funding early research, developing partnerships and hiring a support team. They were responsible for the ideation, creation, development and launch of the Generosity Commission. Following the launch of the Generosity Commission in 2021, the Working Committee ceased operations.
